Hill running makes you strong – period. Hills give you the strength to hold your form together when you’re tired, like a the end of a tough run or a race. For example, it’s one thing to be fast, but it’s another thing to be fast in the last 100 yards of a race.

…And consider this when you get there. Hills training can simply be done over hilly terrain so that you get the benefit “organically,” or you can do hills more like interval workouts, with move repetitive structure.
