Modern living is rough on hamstrings, which can get tight when we sit too often for too long. The hamstrings are located at the back of the thighs. This set of 3 muscles works the hip joint and knee joint together to bend your knee and move your leg backward from the hip. To stretch your hamstrings, try bending forward at the waist, tightening the muscles on the front of the thighs to release the hamstrings along the back. If your hands reach the ground great. If they don’t, keep your hands on your knees, and don’t overdo it. It’s best when stretching to let your muscles loosen slowly.
