Avocados are a special type of fruit because unlike most fruits which contain carbohydrates, avocados contain healthy fats.

  • High in nutrient value (has good flavor and rich texture)

What Avocado’s Contain:

  • Contain 20 different vitamins
    • Vitamin K
    • Vitamin C
    • Potassium
    • Vitamin B5
    • Vitamin E
  • Contains more potassium than Bananas
    • Potassium is a nutrient that most people aren’t getting enough of
  • Contain large amounts of fiber
  • Increas antioxidant absorption from other foods

Long Term Benefits:

  • May help prevent Cancer (limited evidence shows avocados may be beneficial in preventing cancer)
  • May help relieve symptoms of arthritis (limited evidence)
